All beginning students need to start with the Medical Qigong Practioner (MQP) program and the P1 Seminar. We teach this seminar twice a year, usually once in February and again in March.
You may apply by registering here for the P1 seminar of your choice. If you do not see a listing for P1 here, it probably means we have already started this year's program and will not be starting the program again until the following spring.
This first course introduces students to Medical Qigong theory and teaches them exercises that are designed to heal the body, calm the mind, and connect with spirit. Students learn a highly transformative qigong set that they can use for their own personal cultivation.
Medical Qigong exercises will be taught that help the body correct both physical and energetic imbalances. These exercises strengthen and regulate the internal organs, the nervous and immune systems, relieve pain, regulate hormones, and assist in the release of deep-seated emotions.
The course will introduce the student to the basic theories of energy tonification, purgation, and regulation. Student will begin to use these theories and specific qigong exercises to work with their own body's organs and energy channels, as well as to strengthen the body's protective energy field (Wei Qi).
Other topics covered in this course include:
Students will have a basic understanding of the three regulations of medical qigong and be able to properly develop a medical qigong routine.
This class is taught twice a year, usually in February or March. Students in the MQP program are only required to take it once.
