Medical Qigong Practitioner (MQP)There are no prerequisites for this primary level certification. A 200 hour Medical Qigong Practitioner (M.Q.P.) certificate will be issued to students who have successfully completed Courses 1 through 4 (128 academic hours) in addition to 72 hours of Clinical Internship.
This first course is designed to introduce the student to Medical Qigong exercises to maintain health, heal their bodies, calm their minds, and reconnect with their spirit. (more)
The second course is designed to strengthen the body's protective energy field (Wei Qi) and discuss the techniques used to avoid absorbing Toxic Qi while in a clinical environment. The students will also learn basic Medical Qigong treatment protocols for treating clients. (more)
The third course is designed to introduce students to advanced theories of energy purgation, tonification, regulation and cultivation, as well as exercises and meditations used as homework prescriptions in the Medical Qigong Clinic. (more)
In the fourth course the Medical Qigong students will be introduced to advanced theories and clinical modalities of internal organ treatment. (more)
The exams will include written, oral, and practical examinations plus clinical competencies. Successful completion of the examinations will enable the student to also qualify for the more advanced 500-hour Medical Qigong Therapist (MQT) program.
