Our programs are designed to cater to the needs of international professionals who may not live near our training center. All of our trainings are held in the format of Intensive Seminars. Seminars are usually 5 days long, and each program (other than the DMQ program) consists of five of these seminars. This schedule gives students from all over the world the chance to train with us and experience a depth of training that is not to be found anywhere else.
Dr. Shannon teaches all the Medical Qigong seminars.
Entrance to any of our programs begins with P1 - Introduction to Medical Qigong Therapy which is the initial seminar within the Medical Qigong Practitioner Program. We usually offer this class twice in the early spring, usually in February and March. To find out when we will next be offering this seminar, visit our Seminar Schedule.
To apply for the Medical Qigong Program, you must to register for the P1 seminar. This is most easily done by registering online for the P1 seminar on the MQP Schedule.
Once we have recieved your application and your deposit, you will be sent additional information about the class, including syllabus, required textbooks and reading assignments.
Registering on line is strongly recommended, but if you would rather register by mail, or fax, you can Download our Registration Form,
Note that mailing in your application (as opposed to completing it online, emailing or faxing) may significantly delay the processing of your application.
If you have any questions about the application process, the ICMQ curriculum, or your background as an entering student, please just contact us.
Students have the option of staying on site with us while they are training. The ICMQ's international training facility is located in Palm Desert, California .
The Palm Desert Training Facility’s landscape has been designed to join ascetic enjoyment with function. The atmosphere created for day travelers and residential students is warm and cordial. The Coachella Valley as a resort area offers fantastic desert landscapes, fine dining (including vegan), and shopping. Students have access to a range of restaurants and shopping experiences that cater to healthy lifestyles.
